Day-by-Day Itinerary
Tangier → Tétouan → Chefchaouen
Your driver picks you up at the airport, port, or hotel in Tangier. Depending on your arrival time, a short visit to the medina, Cape Spartel, or the Caves of Hercules. We then head up into the Rif mountains via Tétouan, the "White Dove," with its whitewashed walls and Andalusian heritage. Arrival in the late afternoon in Chefchaouen. Wander its blue streets, visit Uta el-Hammam square, and take in the view from the Spanish Mosque. Dinner and overnight in a traditional riad in the heart of the medina.
Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknès → Fes
After breakfast, head south through the Rif countryside to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO site with remarkably preserved mosaics and marble columns. Continue to Meknès, the Ismaili capital, to see Bab Mansour, the royal stables (Heri es Souani), and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Stop in Moulay Idriss, a holy town perched on a hillside. Arrival in Fes in the late afternoon. Check-in at a charming riad in the old medina.

A full day devoted to exploring Fes el-Bali with an official local guide. Start at the Royal Palace gate, the Mellah (Jewish quarter), and the Borj Sud fortress for a panoramic view. Then dive into the UNESCO-listed medina: the Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine fountain, Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest university in the world), and the famous Chouara Tanneries with their colorful vats. Visit a pottery and zellige cooperative to watch artisans at work. Return to the riad for the night.
Fes → Rabat
Morning departure toward the Atlantic coast and Rabat, Morocco's political and administrative capital, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Kasbah of the Udayas with its peaceful white and blue streets, and enjoy the view over Salé from the top. Visit the Hassan Tower, the unfinished minaret of the mosque of the same name, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Then stroll through Chellah, a site of Roman ruins transformed into a necropolis by the Merinid rulers, where storks — Morocco's national bird — nest in colonies. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.
Rabat → Casablanca — Hassan II Mosque → Airport transfer
Drive to Casablanca, Morocco's largest city and economic capital. Morning visit to the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Built on a promontory jutting into the Atlantic, it offers breathtaking views and can hold more than 100,000 worshippers. It's one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims. Depending on your flight time, free time for a last drink at Rick's Café, a bar-restaurant recreating the atmosphere of the iconic film. Transfer to Casablanca-Mohammed V Airport. End of services.
