Day-by-Day Itinerary

01
The Blue Pearl

Tangier → Tétouan → Chefchaouen

Your private driver welcomes you at Tangier port or airport. After a short visit to the Kasbah and Cape Spartel, we drive into the scenic Rif Mountains to Tétouan, the Spanish colonial capital known for its whitewashed medina and rich Andalusian heritage. Continue to Chefchaouen, the breathtaking "Blue Pearl," where every alley, door and staircase is painted in shades of azure. Enjoy a relaxing evening wandering the medina and soaking up the mountain-town atmosphere. Overnight in a charming riad.

02
Roman Ruins & Imperial City

Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknès → Fès

After breakfast, take a final stroll through Chefchaouen's charming blue alleys before heading to the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis. Walk among ancient mosaics, temples and the triumphal arch of Caracalla. Continue to the hill town of Moulay Idriss, Morocco's holiest town, before reaching Meknès. Explore its monumental gates — especially Bab Mansour — the imperial granaries and the royal stables. In the late afternoon, continue to Fès and settle into your traditional riad in the ancient medina.

03
Imperial Splendor

Fès Guided City Tour

Explore the oldest city in Morocco with a professional local guide. Visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, founded in 859 AD and considered the world's oldest existing degree-granting university. Admire the intricate tilework of the Bou Inania Madrasa and the stunning Attarine Madrasa. Walk through the lively souks, watch artisans at work, and visit the famous Chouara Tannery where leather has been dyed in stone vessels for centuries. See the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts. Overnight in Fès.

04
Middle Atlas to the Desert

Fès → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

Leave Fès behind and drive south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, Morocco's "Little Switzerland," with its alpine chalets and immaculate gardens. Continue through the fragrant cedar forests of Azrou, where Barbary macaques often approach the roadside. After lunch in Midelt, the apple capital, descend through the spectacular Ziz Valley with its endless date-palm groves. As the rocky plains give way to rolling sand, you reach Merzouga — the gateway to the Sahara. Overnight in a comfortable desert hotel at the edge of the dunes.

05
Sahara Adventure

Merzouga 4x4 Excursion → Camel Trek → Luxury Desert Camp

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling 4x4 desert excursion. Visit a nomadic Berber family, explore the old Dakar rally routes, discover dry oases and experience the rich Gnaoua music of Khamlia village. For thrill-seekers, optional ATV or buggy rides over the dunes are available. In the late afternoon, mount your camel for a trek into the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset paint the sands in shades of amber and violet, then arrive at your luxury desert camp for a traditional Berber dinner, live drumming around the campfire, and a night of stargazing under a canopy of stars.

06
Gorges & Valleys

Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Boumalne Dades

Wake early for a breathtaking Sahara sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4x4 to meet your driver. Visit the ancient trading town of Rissani with its lively traditional souk, then continue to Erfoud, Morocco's fossil capital. Reach the dramatic Todra Gorge, where 300-metre vertical cliffs tower above a crystal-clear river — time for a scenic hike. Continue to Boumalne Dades, with its surreal "Monkey Fingers" rock formations and the winding serpentine road. Overnight in a kasbah hotel with valley views.

07
Kasbahs & Atlas Crossing

Boumalne Dades → Rose Valley → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Aït Benhaddou → Marrakech

After breakfast, drive through the Valley of Roses and the town of Kelaa M'Gouna, where Damascus roses are harvested for precious rose water. Continue to Skoura to visit the 17th-century Kasbah Amridil, featured on Morocco's 50 dirham note. Stop in Ouarzazate to see the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios. Then explore the legendary Aït Benhaddou ksar, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the dramatic Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) through the High Atlas before descending to Marrakech by early evening. Overnight in a riad in the medina.
